Spring is here!! 

So far we have had mild weather with a few 'summer like' days (89*). But for the most part about 6 am the temps are about 54* and get up to about 82* with low humidity. 

We are expecting rain and storms in a few days, we really need the rain in Florida. There have been quite a few wild fires from people illegally burning their trash. I get that doing that (with some trash) is better for the environment. But, when it burns down the environment and kills people (and animals) then that's not a good thing.

 I took some photos of the hummingbirds that have started coming back. We live in Union county in Florida, I did not think we'd ever have them in our yard, but I guess all you have to do is put out a feeder & they will come. (5 gold stars to who can guess that movie reference!!)

The humming birds are back! My mom likes to feed them, so there is a feeder just outside her window so she can watch these little wonders do their thing. Yesterday I took some photos of the ones that visited.

I put a camp chair about 7 feet from the feeder and just sat there, really still, with the camera already in place  and my finger on the shutter release. Those little buggers fly in quick, sometimes they just sit on top and hang out. 

My mom is going to make a calendar with all the photos that I took. These are just 3 of the many that I took. I am going to sit out there this evening and see if I can get some different looking photos for her calendar.
